Senator Dean Florez, Chair of Senate Select Committee on Title IX and Gender Discrimination will be a featured speaker for the 2007 annual WAGE Forum in San Diego, October 20, 2007. Other featured speakers include Trustee Shelia Jackson, SDUSD, District E, Diane Milutinovich, plaintiff (Milutinovich vs. CSU-Fresno); attorneys Anne Weills and Dan Siegel; Siegel, of the Oakland law firm of Siegel and Yee, was the lead attorney in the Vivas case. Forum presenters and participants will examine the role of legislators, educators, plaintiffs, the media and community members in achieving gender parity in our systems of higher education. The forum will take place from 9am-5pm in the community room of the Malcolm X Library, located 5148 Market Street, San Diego, CA 92114.

The WAGE forum is free and open to the public. A noon luncheon buffet will be made available to attendees for $15.00, with check payable to "WAGE" and mailed no later than October 15th to Pat Washington, PhD, Co-Chair, WAGE, 4537 Alamo Drive, San Diego, CA 92115. After October 15th-including day of event-cost of the luncheon buffet will be $20.
